Certificate IV In Training & Assessment
The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is the newest TAE qualification and has updated from the TAE40116 to the TAE40122.
The new qualification has an additional 2 units of competency and additional changes to the core and elective requirements. These changes allow organisations more flexibility around the style of TAE course they deliver and which areas they wish to put an emphasis on. RAM Training Services has structured the TAE40122 course to be more relatable to those working in the training industry, with a focus on the delivery of training sessions and assessing of individuals.

About The Course

This method of delivery has been specifically designed as a kickstart program, allowing a mix of self-paced study and workshop days. The course is made up of pre-course work to be completed prior to attending 5 days in class, and then post-course work after the 5 days in class. The workshop is offered face-to-face in Southport on the Gold Coast, Paddington Brisbane, Mt Gravatt Brisbane, Cairns and Perth.
The pre-course work will be made up of pre-recorded lectures to watch that will give you some underpinning knowledge on the course content prior to attending day 1 of the course. You will also be required to prepare 3 presentations, that will be delivered on the last day of the workshop. During the 5 day workshop, you will start working your way through your assessment tasks with the trainers assistance and guidance, giving you the skills, knowledge and confidence to finish the remaining tasks from home.
INTENSIVE 5-DAY FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP
Teachers RPL + Gap Training
- Evidence of teaching lessons for more than 40 mins x 2 lessons (min 8 students), and 1 more lesson with no specific timeframe or minimum numbers. Eg, attendance sheet, 3rd party reference, etc
- 3 examples of lesson/session plans you have created
- Evidence of having developed, delivered and reviewed a presentation. Eg handouts, facilitators notes, photos, Powerpoint etc

- Previously completed qualifications including Bachelor of Education

- Reference from current employer, this needs to included how long you have been employed as a secondary school teacher
- Current Job Description
The Teachers RPL + Gap Training Workshop is only available for registered secondary school teachers who have current teaching experience of 12 months or more.
This program is run over 4 days online, virtual classroom and requires participants to complete pre and post course work, which will include self-paced reading, short answer questions and task based activities.
In order to qualify for the RPL requirements in the Teachers upgrade, you must be able to provide the following evidence, to substantial your RPL application:

How Many Students Will Be In My Workshop?
How Long Will It Take Me To Complete This Course In Full?
You have up to 12 months to complete the full TAE40122 course, although the expected duration is approximately 6 months - dependent on each individual’s personal circumstances, commitments and experience.
You will need access to the internet, a computer/laptop with Microsoft Office, and a printer.
What Resources Will I Need In Order To Complete This Course?
If you currently hold a TAE40116 Qualification, you do not have to upgrade to TAE40122. These courses are considered equivalent. If you hold the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment qualification and are looking to upgrade, please check out our CERT IV TAE40116 upgrade course to ensure your training is up to date.
I Have A TAE40116 Qualification. Do I Need To Upgrade To The New TAE40122 Qualification?
The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment was released in December 2022, and is the most current course available. This course supersedes the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
Is This The Most Current Training And Assessment Course?
This will depend on if and when ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority), the governing body, decide a change or update is required for this qualification.
