The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment distance learning program allows participants to complete their qualification at their own pace from home as self-paced study. Participants are supported throughout their journey, with pre-recorded online webinars and pre-recorded online tutorials, which give participants flexibility to complete assessment tasks at a time and pace that suite their own needs. DISTANCE LEARNING
This method of delivery has been specifically designed as a kickstart program. During the 5 days training face to face for your Cert IV Training and Assessment, participants complete a variety of tasks, group-based activities, case studies and at least 1 of the 3 required presentations. This program gives you a good head start to then complete the remainder of the certificate in training and assessment from home. Participants have up to 12 months to complete all post-course assessment tasks.
NO work placement required - while other providers may require you to source an RTO for work placement to finalise your assessments, our courses have been specifically designed to eliminate the need for this.
After completing the 5 days in class, participants will then have access to pre-recorded online webinars to help support them through their post-course assessments. The pre-recorded online webinars allow participants the flexibility to complete the remainder of training and assessment course at a time that suits their needs. You’ll also have access to:

DISTANCE LEARNING
- Evidence of teaching lessons for more than 40 mins x 2 lessons (min 8 students), and 1 more lesson with no specific timeframe or minimum numbers. Eg, attendance sheet, 3rd party reference, etc
- 3 examples of lesson/session plans you have created
- Evidence of having developed, delivered and reviewed a presentation. Eg handouts, facilitators notes, photos, Powerpoint etc
- Updated and current Resume
- Previously completed qualifications including Bachelor of Education
- Current Teacher’s Registration
- Reference from current employer, this needs to included how long you have been employed as a secondary school teacher
- Current Job Description
The Teachers RPL + Gap Training Workshop is only available for registered secondary school teachers who have current teaching experience of 12 months or more.
This program is run over 4 days online, virtual classroom and requires participants to complete pre and post course work, which will include self-paced reading, short answer questions and task based activities.
In order to qualify for the RPL requirements in the Teachers upgrade, you must be able to provide the following evidence, to substantial your RPL application:

How many students will be in my workshop?
How Long Will It Take Me To Complete This Course In Full?
You have up to 12 months to complete the full TAE40116 course, although the expected duration is approximately 6 months - dependent on each individual’s personal circumstances, commitments and experience.
You will need access to the internet, a computer/laptop with Microsoft Office, and a printer.
What Resources Will I Need In Order To Complete This Course?
Unfortunately not, the course has been superseded already since those particular qualifications therefore none of the units are equivalent to the new TAE40116. You would need to complete the full course.
I Have A TAA40104 Or BSZ40198 Qualification, Can I Upgrade To The New TAE40116
Yes, the TAE40116 as of April 2019 will be the mandatory qualification to Train and Assess.
Is This The Most Current Training And Assessment Course?
This will depend on if and when ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) the governing body decide a change or update is required for this qualification.
